Menu in Microsoft Word has completely disappeared (Word for Windows)

Hello,

The menu in Microsoft word has completely disappeared leaving a blank grey area up the top of the document. How do I fix this?

Thanks so much for the help! I tried absolutely everything yesterday (closed and reopened the doc, restarted computer etc.) and nothing seemed to work. Not sure if there was an update overnight but when I came into work this morning, it's back to normal! If it does it again I'll upload the file for further investigation.
