macOS EXCEL 2016 =>ODBC => MariaDB

I have MariaDB at a LAN server and would like to access it with MacOS Excel ODBC.

- MariaDB connector installed

- iODBC administator GUI installed

- odbc.ini & odbcinst.ini configured

(EXCEL for MacOS (10.13.2) v. 16.16.5)

in EXCEL => DATA => "New Database Query" => Test NOK ( see 2nd picture below), 

But if using iODBC admin64 app testing connection successful, 

BUT not successful with non 64-bit IODBC:

anything relate to my EXCEL if 64bit? my EXCEL v.16.16.5

AnyOne could share some insights to get ODBC connected to EXCEL?

come back again, I just tested within macOS for LibreOffice database, no issue, went through flawlessly.

Thank you for posting your question about the brand new version of MariaDB ODBC 3.1 driver. This is the first version of the driver for Mac. Please note that the driver: "supports only Unicode (not ANSI)." It is still a beta release.
