Mac verification of MS Office apps

Hi,

am I the only person to suspect there is a hidden war between Microsoft and Apple going on as regards the use of MS Office products on Mac computers? Somebody here tried to suggest that the tiresome verification process of MS Word, etc., running every time it is updated (at least once a month) is OK. Well, it is not OK. Why do I have to pay and then wait minutes each time I want to run my product? I am a hostage of a conflict I did not start.

Hi

This is strictly an Apple policy and an Apple technology. Microsoft has nothing at all to do with this behavior. Apple's policy in Mac OS is to verify every new install and every update to make sure it is bit-for-bit exactly what it is supposed to be. This guarantees no intrusions by modifying the code from malicious operations out there.

Be sure to include the version number and OS version when asking your question.
