Login window while opening word document

Hello,

I have a Word document that is created by another person.

When I try to open it, it shows up a login window as below:

Could you please tell me why this window appears?

What is this window about and how does it work?

Does this happen only when opening this specific document or even when creating a new file?

After login in does the document open?

Hi Raffaele,

I do not have credentials for this login.

This is happening for this particular document only.

Actually, I am developing on a Parser which parses Word document.  And I do this by extracting Word document contents with unzip operation.

But, with this particular file, I can not extract the contents as it is protected with some account.

Seems like a shared document, are you able to tell the owner to share it by adding your MS email to it? This also happens when there are changes being traced by linking them to the MS user account.

You mean, if the creator of the document shares the document by adding my MS email, then I can access it, right?

At a guess, the document resides on a OneDrive or SharePoint site. If possible, ask the creator to send it as an e-mail attachment instead.
