Login to SARA wont accept windows login password

I need to run Microsoft Support and Recovery too to diagnose and fix Outlook issues. When I try and login a message appears that says it can't use the email address or password supplied.

This is the same password and email address I use to access my Microsoft account.

Frustrating

Hi Greg,

The SARA tool is trying to setup your email account in Outlook using your email account credentials. If the username and password don't work in the SARA tool, it is likely that they are incorrect.

To verify your Microsoft account credentials, I would visit https://account.microsoft.com using an InPrivate browser session and attempt to login. If you are unable to login using the InPrivate browser session, then you will need to reset your password.

Please let us know if you have any further questions.

That's the problem - it doesn't work with all account types. You can try adding an outlook.com alias to the account and it to sign in (it believe it now supports outlook.com address) or, per the instructions in the link, use sample credentials to mimic a non-Office 365 account: username is *** Email address is removed for privacy *** and type anything for the password.
