Is there a way to verify a Microsoft Product Key online?
I had an "Invalid Product Key" error while activating Microsoft Office 2010 online. After several attempts to find a solution, I ended up calling Microsoft Customer Support. I was treated well, but had difficulty understanding the representative and they
had difficulty understanding me when I gave them my product key. I would like to know if there is somewhere online that I can enter a Microsoft Product Key and find out if it is genuine and available for activation. The representative was able to do this after
several attempts to verbally verify my Product Key. It took me twenty minutes to get my answer. It would be so much easier if I could type the Product Key into a query and get an answer online. There may have been a way to do this in the past, but I haven't
found it.
Please be informed that there is no online tool to verify the Microsoft product key. Only the Microsoft phone/chat
support team has a tool to verify if the product key is genuine/valid.
