Is Excel able to import data from Filemaker 12(.fmp12) data file under the "Get External Data"

I recently updated to Filemaker 12 and I am trying to use the Get External Data> Import From Filemaker Pro function in Excel 2011 to update a worksheet. It worked flawlessly with FIlemaker 11 but it does not recognize the .fmp12 file type associated with FMP 12. Am I missing an update or is Excel no longer compatible?

Answer
Actual Technologies does make ODBC drivers that are compatible with MS Excel 2011 and FileMaker 12.  The drivers can be used with those applications to connect to databases such as Oracle, MySQL, etc.

However, to use MS Excel to import data from a FileMaker 12 database, you should use the driver available for free from the FileMaker website:

http://help.filemaker.com/app/answers/detail/a_id/11321

The driver is easy to install and configure, so you should be able to easily import your FM data using the Excel's menu: Data->Get External Data->New Database Query.
