Installing office 365 on corporate network

I have just upgraded my home computers to Office 365, however when installing the software at work (a school) I cannot activate the software because of the network security. Are there settings that I can pass on to our techs to get me through the firewall?

Sorry if I'm being thick

The IT Dept should be able to view their firewall log, and from that see what connection is being blocked and thus should be allowed.

And if its only a question of Activation, if you use phone activation that may be an alternative
