Insert a Gif into a word doc

Hi

How can I insert a Gif into a word document please?

If the GIF is saved to the local computer, click Insert > Picture.

This does not show the animated Gif, but just the first frame of it.. The solution would be to add a gif/video and be able to both see it playing in the world document as well as in the pdf document to which it might be exported

P.S. This same issue was already a problem in the past and it still hasn't been fixed.. https://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/msoffice/forum/all/how-do-i-add-an-animated-gif-to-a-microsoft-word/dd1347af-fc1d-4572-8528-e80f9cd624f0

This solution worked for me...

-Make sure the gif file is saved to your computer.

-In word, select the location to embed the gif file.

-Select Insert>Object>Create from File

-Browse to the gif file and select, then Insert

-Select Display as icon if you want the gif to work in your document on another computer

-Change the icon if you prefer

-Then click OK

When you double click the gif's icon and open it, your browser will open and the gif will function properly.

I emailed the document to another computer and opened it with Word. the gif opened in a browser when double clicked.

I emailed the document to my iPad.  I opened the document from my Gmail and the embedded gif object would not execute. However, a gif that I had copied directly from a webpage and pasted into that word document did function inside the document with Google.

Neither of the gifs would not work with Word on the iPad.

Hope this may help
