In Microsoft 365 family plan can we merge OneDrive users storage to One account and have 6 TB associated to a single account.

I am wondering if I can we merge OneDrive " Microsoft 365 family plan" users storage to One account and have 6 TB associated to a single account !!??

Unfortunately, no. But it would be nice indeed.

However, folders shared by others can be added to your OneDrive and downloaded to your local OneDrive folder. I have about 3TB of OneDrive family files in my PC's OneDrive folder. It's a bit awkward to do it that way though.

Hi Craig,

Thank you for your reply.

I am still looking for a documentation from Microsoft says if you manage assign the 6TB on user or not.

Please share with us the link once you find it.

I will if I find something like that. The only links I know about are on how to share files and folders and how to add them to your OneDrive.

All of the MS documenation says 1TB PER USER/Email account. There is no option to consolidate it under a single account.

.

On the other hand, as Craig has suggested, you could create dummy accounts to access the separate 1TB allocations. Under those IDs you can "Share" access to their OneDrive from those accounts to your main account. The space will be in 6 separate lumps/allocations, but you will have access to it all. That is the closest you are going to get to what you are asking for.

I don't know of any way to access this for 365 Family, but there is a way to increase a user's OneDrive storage allocation in the business editions of Microsoft 365 (article linked below). Unlike 365 Family and Personal, the business edition comes with an Admin Portal which provides access to hundreds of settings and resources.

So, CraigLong and Rohn007 are correct, but I wish Microsoft would open this feature to home users. It's common for power users to need more cloud storage while other family members barely use it at all.

HI Mike_G,

As you said, CraigLong and Rohn007 are correct but my question was about Personal and family subscirptions only.

I knew that you can manage the storage for OneDrive for Business.

Best Regards,

Mike:

Submit a feedback asking for that feature. I'd vote for it, and so would several others with similar questions I've seen in this forum

.

IMHO, it won't happen, but it's worth asking for ...

MS Developers and Managers don’t pay much / any attention to what happens in this forum. If you have program specific issues, something you have identified as a “bug” (program not working as expected) or a “new feature request) you can use one of the 5 parallel “feedback” systems.

After you create your feedback, get a "share" link to it and post it back here so we can vote for it.

I’ve also (finally) recognized that there are 2 more ways of submitting “feedback” to MS for online help pages/documentation. Some, not all of their online documentation pages include 2 ways of sending “feedback” to MS to (hopefully) improve the documentation.
