Hi BuğraGüner,

From your description, it should be an exchange shared mailbox, right? may I know did this problem occur on Outlook app? You configured an exchange account as an IMAP account, I think you should be using a third-party application.

And your mail settings looks no problem, I suggest you try to add your account to iPhone default Mail app and see how it goes.

Besides, please try to reinstall this mail app and reset again.

Thanks,

Linda

Hi.

It works on outlook app. My iOS native mail app does not work. I contacted w/ apple and they said I should contact w/ Microsoft.

I was directed from my IT staff to set up as IMAP not exchange. Also I re-install/delete than added account nothing happened. My corp. mail is working properly with native iOS mail app except shared mailbox.

It worked on iOS 13 and earlier flawless. Setting an shared mailbox as an IMAP account. But on IOS 14 is doesn't work anymore.

It still works on the MacOS, so I don't think there's something changed on de MS side.

Hi BuğraGüner,

Thank you for your clarification.

This should indeed be a problem on Apple's side, because first of all you can use the mailbox normally on Outlook, which means that there is no problem with the service. And the problem occurred in the native Mail app of the iPhone, and the problem occurred after the OS system was updated. To be honest, I do not have much knowledge about Apple’s native Mail app. Thank you for your understanding.

Thanks,

Linda

This is not a Apple issue.

The problem is about IMAP authentication.

Apple is passing the ball to Microsoft,Microsoft is passing back to Apple and then the user ??????

This is not a Apple issue.

The problem is about IMAP authentication.

Apple is passing the ball to Microsoft,Microsoft is passing back to Apple and then the user ??????

If this is a Microsoft problem then why does it still work on devices running IOS13?

If this is a Microsoft problem then why does is work on every single other IMAP client out there?

Fact is it worked on IOS13. It doesn't work on IOS14. Hence the changed variable is IOS version. This is an Apple problem!

We have the same issues. I ran into this as soon as I updated my IOS from 13 to 14!!!!! I have a team of employees that I immediately informed not to update. Thankfully they are not affected but I am and it is really annoying. Looking to see if I can reverse back to IOS 13!!

Somebody (probably Apple) really needs to fix this ASAP. It cant be that hard?!
