How to stick the marks I draw to a picture in Onenote 2016?

It is pretty annoying that if I move the picture, the marks won't go with it.

Hi Yi,

We understand that you'd like to know how to stick the marks that you draw into a picture using OneNote.

We'd like to inform you that the drawing happens over the image and it isn't linked. The best you can do is to make sure you select the image and the lines before moving.

You can use the Insert Space tool. It takes entire width or height of the page, unless there is a selection. In most typical situations, it suffices and keeps rest of the page content nicely together.

In addition, you can follow the workaround below:

1. Paste the image into OneNote and mark it up.

2. Use Screen Clipping, and select the image with the markup on it. Copy it to your clipboard.

3. Delete your old image with the unflattened markup, and paste the new one in with flattened markup.

You can also draw on the image and then use the "Send to OneNote" tool to capture the image and your drawing and reinsert it.

Furthermore, you can follow the alternative steps below and accomplish the task using a Word application:

1. Select the image together with the drawings on it
2. Cut it and paste on a blank MS Word document
3. Copy the image you have just pasted from MS Word document
4. Paste it back to OneNote app.

Kindly post back if you have further concerns.
