How to print notes such that they do NOT flow to the next page?

Some of my notes are a bit long (there is a good reason), so wit the latest Powerpoint version,

they flow to the next page.

The older Powerpoint version did not do that, it cut off the notes.

This is exactly what I want: I want powerpoint to cut off the notes when they are longer than the page allows,

so that I have exactly one slide on each and every page (with the notes in the bottom half).

is that possible with the new version?

Thanks a lot in advance.

Best regards,

Gabriel.

The only option I can see that prevents an overflow to subsequent pages is to select the Notes text box, choose Format>Shape, then in the Text Box section set the shape to Shrink text on overflow. If you do this in the Notes Master or your template, each presentation from that template will do this automatically.

Thanks  a lot for your response.

Your solution probably works for most users.

I didn't specifically say it in my OP, but I don't want the text to be shrinked.

You see, the upper part of my notes is stuff that I need to remember to say during the lecture, the lower portion is just background information, citations, etc.

So, at least the upper part of the notes has to be in a big font so that i can read it during the lecture on a printout :-)

I already tried making the font size of the lower portion small, but that didn't have an effect in the printout.

Best regards,

Gabriel.

To change the text size of a portion of your Notes, please follow these steps:

  1. In PowerPoint, choose View>Outline View.
  2. In the left-hand outline view slide list, right-click and choose Show formatting.
  3. Now select the text in your Notes and change the font size.
