How to make a single page watermark in a multiple page document

I have a multiple page document with several  section breaks (continuous and next page) and page breaks. I am trying to add a watermark to just one page in the middle of the document and it is appearing on all pages of the document. I thought that a section break next page only formats that one page or how many pages are in the section from break to break.

I am using the insert>watermark feature. I have also tried to insert the watermark as a picture (.jpeg) and send to back with a transparency of 20%, but that is not working either since the page has tables, the "picture" is blocked in areas where the tables appear.

The document is also formatted with headings for a pretty intricate table of contents.

We are using Office 365 for Business, but desktop version for Mac.

Is there anyway to insert a watermark on a single page that is not the first page?

Thanks

Answer
Hi Kelly,

You can try the following steps to see the outcome.
1. If you want set watermark only on page 3, you could navigate your cursor to the end of the page 2 > Layout > Breaks > Next Page (section break A). Then navigate cursor to the end of the page 3 > Layout > Breaks > Next Page (section break B). Now you'll have two section break pages A and B, and the target page 3 is between them.
2. In the Word file > Design > watermark > Picture > select picture > OK. Now every page would have the same watermark.
3. Double click the header of the page, this will activate the header. Navigate to page 3, under Header and Footer, click Link to Previous to cancel it. Then cancel it on section break B, too.
4. With the header on, select the watermark on section A and B and delete them, then the watermark will only stay in page 3 and you can delete the two section break pages.

If the method above doesn't work, to further look into the scenario, please let us know the version of your Word for mac.

Thanks,
Jared
