How to fix this Synchronization Log: issue???

Hi,

I keep receiving this Synchronization Log: error message everyday every time after I sent out each email message which is very very annoying and I need to keep deleting them daily timely. There is no issue of sending, accessing, receiving mails, etc. Below is the error message:

Thanks for your information. Based on the error message, it seems there is a network connectivity issue during the synchronization. Therefore, please try the steps below to see if the issue persists:

1. Have you tried re-creating an offline Outlook Data File (.ost) ? If not, please try it to see if the issue persists.
2. Create a new profile for the Outlook client and add your account into it to see if it helps.
3. Update your Outlook client and operating system to the latest versions and check if the issue persists.
4. Since it’s may be a synchronization issue, please turn off Cached Exchange Mode and check if the Outlook client works properly. If you're using Outlook 2010, please refer to: https://support.office.com/en-us/article/Turn-on-or-off-Cached-Exchange-Mode-e8966ca4-6ecd-4bdd-ade2-64993dda432b
If you're using Outlook 2013 or 2016, please refer to the following steps:

a. Click FILE > Account Settings.
b. Double click the account, then click More settings.
c. Navigate to Advanced bar in the pop up window, unselect the Use Cached Exchange Mode section.
d. Click OK.

5. If you are using Office 365 for Business accounts, please log into OWA(Outlook Web App) to see if the issue persists. You may not be able to access OWA due to not using Office 365 for Business accounts.
6. Try another computer with the same account to see if the issue persists.

If the information above cannot fix the issue, I’d like to collect the following for further investigation:

1. Your Outlook client and operating system versions.
2. When did the issue occur? Did any other users in your organization encounter the same issue?
3. Did you receive these error messages by emails? If no, how did the error messages come out?
4. Is the problematic account an Office 365 for Business account? How did you configure the account into the Outlook client, via POP, IMAP or Exchange?

Thank you very much for your reply. I tried your suggestion to turn off the Cached Exchange Mode and now no more synchronization logs error! No problem with my OWA, rarely see this error while using OWA.

I would like to know what is the effect after I turn off the Cached Mode. Will I still got a copy in my PC for backup?

1. My OS is Windows 8.1, outlook 2013.

2. This issue occur occasionally when I am using OS Windows XP and outlook 2010. But then our organization update all PC and Outlook for us in late August, since then I receive this error message after every single email I sent out.

3. Yes, I receive the error messages by emails.

4. Yes, it is a business account, Configure into Exchange. My colleagues do not encounter this problem. They only receive this error message occasionally, not often.

After turning off Cached Mode, it will not leave a local copy on your computer. For your reference:

To further analyze the issue, can you please confirm the following information?

1. Where do you get the errors, by email or in a folder named Sync Issues?

2. If you create a new profile and re-add your account, does the issue persist?

3. If the issue persists, please run the Support and Recovery Assistant to test the issue.

thanks for the updates.

firstly, may i know if the sync issues folder is under unread mail folder in the outlook client? if so, i’d like to clarify:

generally, there may be sync issues occurred when syncing the mailbox. then the outlook client will store the log into sync issues folder. a lot of things can cause this kind of error with outlook cache mode like temporarily network failure, other client modify the status of mailbox items like changing read status, etc...
if this kind of error does not come along with other symptom like unable to delete email, you can safely ignore it.

as the information above, these messages are sync issues of the mailbox. you may safely ignore it.

in addition, you may refer to the following steps to remove these messages from unread mail under search folders.

1. right click unread mail folder in outlook, and select customize this search folder.
2. click browse, and then clear the mailbox (the top level) box.
3. select the folder that needs to appear in unread mail folder. here is an example that only to show unread messages in inbox (include the messages in the subfolders of inbox) in unread mail folder.


4. click ok to save the settings.

after that, these sync issues messages won’t appear in unread mail folder.
