How to Enable basic SMTP AUTH

I'm using Godaddy Office365 email, and trying to configure a third-party app to send mail through my office365 account,

I need to enable basic SMTP auth for my mailbox, (I'm admin)

I followed the instructions from

https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/exchange/clients-and-mobile-in-exchange-online/authenticated-client-smtp-submission#use-the-microsoft-365-admin-center-to-enable-or-disable-smtp-auth-on-specific-mailboxes

to enable SMTP auth but when I click  Office365 admin center (https://admin.microsoft.com/) it takes me to Godaddy and there's no such options as the ones talked about in the link above.

then I visited Exchange admin center (https://outlook.office365.com/ecp/) no such options there either.

Please help me find the option to enable SMTP auth.

Hello WhichClinic,

Thanks for you post in Microsoft community. Microsoft 365 Business account and Godaddy Office 365 account are different and also managed individually. Based on your post, seems you are using GoDaddy Office365 email and as we are from Microsoft 365 for Business Online team, our expertise is limited with GoDaddy O365 account. We recommend you to kindly contact GoDaddy support team to get further target assistant. That support team has special expertise for it and they will help you to enable basic SMTP AUTH.

We highly appreciate your kind understanding and co-operation.

Thanks and regards,

Ankita Vaidya

I managed to enable it using powershell and bumped into another problem, this time though the email client sent the message but it got blocked with following bounce back email

"

5.7.708 Access denied, traffic not accepted from this IP"
