How to change the word format in an existing document?

Hello everyone,

Currently, I'm working on an existing document with track changes on. When I try to add information and change the font to Arial and 14 font size, after reopening the document it goes back to its default font of roman 10. How to approach this?

Answer
Answer

Temporarily turn off Track Changes and then change the document default font in the Manage Styles dialog box.

Do the following: To display the dialog box, click the Manage Styles icon in the Styles pane (Ctrl+Shift+S). Go to the Set Defaults tab and make the desired changes. Choose "Only in this document," if you want to apply the changes only to the current document. Click OK. See screen shot below.

Note that if your document contains custom styles, you may have to customize the font in those separately.
