How do I disable Text Wrapping in Word 2016

It's all in the question.

Moved from Office / Word / Other/unknown / Office 2010

Hi CLCWQ,

I would like to confirm if you’re talking about text wrapping when inserting table in Word 2016. If yes, Word is built to automatically fit text in a cell. We have yet to include option to disable text wrapping in Word 2016.

That being said, we encourage you to post your suggestion to our Word UserVoice. This way, our Word Team will be able to review your suggestion.

If you have other questions, feel free to post back to us.

You can't. The most you can do is make the page wider (up to 22in), to have less frequent text wrapping.

You can't prevent text from wrapping when it runs into the right margin, if that is what you are asking. Although you can set a negative right indent, which would make the text go past the margin, you would still get word wrap eventually.

What you can do is prevent text from wrapping around objects such as shapes: Just set the Text Wrapping for the shape to be "In line with text."

Also, it is still possible to have text in Draft view wrap to the Word window rather than to the page margins. You'll find the option in the Advanced category of File | Options: "Show text wrapped within the document window."
