HIDDEN CONTENT CONTROLS IN A WORD FORM

I have created  a fillable form.  I have set it up so that the content control shows at  first, but does not print.

Can I have the control show on the form (and not be deleted when a user types over it, or hits the delete key), but at the same time not print.

Once you have hidden a form control, can you unto that action?

Hi RichardWalker_885,

Thank you for your post in the forum.

Per your description, I understand the content in the Content Control neither be edited nor deleted, if so,  I would suggest that you can follow the steps below:

First, make sure the Developer in the tab. If not, you can do: File > Options > Customize Ribbon > choose Developer > click OK.

Then, in the Developer, select the text you want to operate, click Aa > Properties > Choose Content control cannot be deleted and Content cannot be edited > click OK.
