Finding an office 2016 product key code

Can anyone help me find a lost product key code.  I want to transfer Office 2016 from an older computer to a new one

Once Office is activated, it's permanently associated with the MS Account used when you activated it. All you need to do is log into your MS Account, go to services and subscriptions and download/install from there.

Note: If this was a one-time license purchase of Office 2016 it can only be used on one computer at a time so you should uninstall Office on the old computer (while connected to the internet) otherwise, you'll need to deactivate it on the old computer first. That's done on the MS Account Services/Subscription page --> click on <Install> and there should be a <Deactivate> option there for you to click on.

RI, have you not read Karl's post above?  You do not need the Product Key to transfer the licence from your old computer to a new on for Office 2016.  You need to sign into your Office  Account at: https://account.microsoft.com/services/  You need to sign in with the same email address and password for the Microsoft Account that you used when you first setup your Office 2016.

NOTE: you must uninstall your Office 2016 from your old computer before installing/using it on your new computer (You cannot deactivate it).  See the below from Office Account:

Move Office to another computer   

  • Uninstall Office from the original computer.

  • On the new computer, sign in to your My Account page and click Install. After you finish installing, you may be asked to activate Office over the phone.
