Find and replace in a selection

In older versions of Word for Mac I was able to select text in a document and then perform Find & Replace All only on the selected text. Now I have Word for Mac 2011, v. 4.4.7 and, it seems, I cannot do this. If I do a Find & Replace All, it will replace text in the entire document. But I need it to replace text only in the selection. My only option seems to be doing a Find & Replace on for each individual instance, which is very tedious and time-consuming. Or am I missing something?

See if this helps:

go to advanced find and replace and it should let you customize replace.
