FileNewDialogueClassic is not working in Office 365 1905 version

Hi,

I am using office 365 1905 version where i have macros which uses FileNewDialogueClassic to open the new templates. But when i am clicking on that macro word is hanging and not responding. And the same I have checked with office 3651902 version where I am able to open the new templates using FileNewDialogueClassic.

Is there any fix to use FileNewDialogueClassic in office 365 1905 version, Or Can i get any patch to fix that issue.

Please help me with this.

Regards,

Hemalatha.

Add the "New Document or Template" command to the Quick Access Toolbar.  (You will find it in the All Command section of the Customize the Quick Access Toolbar dialog.

When you use that button, it displays the classic File>New dialog.

Hope this helps,

The patch is to update to a later version (1908 or later).

I believe it stopped working on many systems with version 1903 and came back to working in a later version. See my discussion of this here: I don't think Doug ever experienced the problem.

On Hemalatha's system this will likely still crash Word.

Hi Hemalatha,

I am writing this message to follow up this thread. Have you referred to the replies above? If there are any updates, please feel free to share with us here.

In addition, I noticed that you mentioned Office 365 1905 version, if not mistaken, your Office is under Monthly Channel version. If so, your version is a bit old, I suggest you can update to your Office to the latest version of that channel. For your reference: Update history for Office 365 ProPlus

Best regards,

Dihao

If you are on Version 1905, it would appear that you are either on the Semi-Annual (Targeted) or the Monthly Channel, and, in either case, that you installation is not up to date with the most recent version and build for the applicable Channel.

I would suggest that you update to the latest version for your Channel, via File>Account>Update Options.

Hi Dihao,

Since multiple of our users are using 1905 version, Do we have any other way to fix the issue in office 365 1905 version.

If any solution other than update like installing patches or changing the macro code, Please let me know.
