Excel on Ipad app - export to PDF doesnt work

exporting excel table in PDF don’t work. showing message (.....no internet connection ), and afther unexpected error.

trying uninstall but no success.

any solution to the problem???

Hi Denis,

Sorry for the inconvenience the problem caused for you.

Based on your description, when you try to export Excel file to PDF on iPad, an error will pop up. I tested it on my side, however, there was no problem.

From the error message, it seems that the problem might be related to the network. Please try to switch to other network to see the result.

If the problem persists, could you please provide some information for me?

  1. The version of Excel.
  2. To check whether the problem is related to the specific file, if you create a new file and export to PDF, will the same problem happen?

Best regards,

Jazlyn

Hi Denis,

Thank you for the updated information.

Since you mentioned that the problem disappeared when exporting a new created file, if possible, could you please provide a sample file for us via OneDrive link  so that we could also test it on our side.

Best regards,

Jazlyn

Hi Denis,

Thank you for providing the sample file for us.

For the sample files, we tested it on our side, however, there was no problem when exporting to PDF. You mentioned "there is fille maked from excel templates", may I know that whether the problem happens on the files which are created from specific Excel template?

You can try to Reset credentials for Excel to check the result:

  1. Quit Excel .
  2. Go to Settings on your device via tapping the gear icon.
  3. Scroll down and find "Excel" application.
  4. Then find "RESET" section and click "Reset Excel".
  5. Turn the buttons on.
  6. Sign in again to see the result.

Additionally, may I know the version of your iPad?

Best regards,

Jazlyn

Hi Denis,

Thank you for your precious time and patience so far.

In recent days, Excel for iPad released a new version 2.44, you could try to update Excel to this version to see whether the issue happens again.

If the issue persists, since we don’t have the same device(we have iPad 5th generation), I am unable to test with the same environment as yours. I am really sorry for not being able to help further.

I do understand your situation, we suggest you provide feedback from your affected iPad, open Excel, click Settings > Help &Feedback to report directly to the related team. This will have more impact on the Product Group as the feedback is coming directly from the customer.

We do want to help you, and here is a workaround for you, you can try it to see if it can help you: You can upload Excel files to the cloud and then open on your phone to print or convert to PDF.

We appreciate your understanding and co-operation.

Best regards,

Jazlyn
