A few things that might affect print size:
#1 - is your printer software up to date ? May need to go back to the printer maker's site and see if there are 'drivers' (software) for Windows 8/8.1. This is probably NOT the issue, but worth checking out.
#2 - more likely that the print page sizing is set to try to fit the contents of the worksheet onto a single page in some fashion. Refer to this graphic:
I got to this view by clicking [Size] in the Page Layout tab and choosing "More page sizes...".
First, see if it is set to adjust to something other than 100% of normal size. If it is, then just set it to 100% and see how things go.
But what I really suspect is that the "Fit to:" option is selected and it has some numbers in one or both of the selection areas. If it is, like the graphic shows, set to 1 x 1 page then the entire sheet regardless of width or physical height will try to be squeezed onto a single sheet of paper. But it may be that one of the entries has a number and the other is empty. I actually use that kind of setup myself on some pages. Typically I'll use 1 page wide and then not have any entry for the "tall" entry. That lets the width be squeezed onto a single sheet in either portrait or landscape, but use as many pages as required to print all rows without further reducing the size of the font or output.
