Embedding Fonts in Word for Office 365

Need help here, please.

I am formatting a manuscript for publication through IngramSpark and their instructions state to embed the fonts then Print, not Export, to PDF format.

I set up Word 365 to embed the fonts but when I looked at the properties of the PDF, some of the fonts were not embeded.

I found another thread about embedding them, and followed the suggestions there, which was to open Word in Safe Mode and check the plugins, and then repair the Office App.  I did both, but neither changed.

I did use both checked and unchecked "Embed only the characters used in the document," but got the same results.

Instructions say that if there are any fonts not embedded, they will reject the file.

Thanks,

Mathis...

Thank you for the reply, Zion.

Yes, I'm using the same PC for both Word 2007 & Word 365.

First picture is the print to PDF from Word 365.  It's only TimesNewRomanPSMT and  ArialItalicMT that are not embedding in it.

However, you can see by the 2nd picture that there are no font names, but everything shows Embedded.

I did find out what I was doing different, though.  in Word 365 I was using Save As then to PDF.  In Word 2007 I was using the Print and then choosing the Microsoft to PDF option.  Looking back through the instructions, I was supposed to be using the Microsoft to PDF Print option.  Doing it that way did work.

The only concern I have now is that printing it that way it doesn't look like the PDF came out as 6x9.  But I'll find out how that works when I upload it to IngramSpark.

Thanks again for your help.  I'll let you know if there are any other issues.
