Emailing a form with an attachment

How do I attach another document (pdf, etc.) when emailing a form using the Save & Send - Send Form feature?

After I complete the form, I go under File - Save & Send - Send Form and the form opens up in an email, I enter the recipient's name and click on the paperclip to attach a file - let's say a pdf.  I click send and the recipient receives the email - they open the email but there is no attachment? What happened to it?

Thank you,
Jeanne

Does this happen with other people or js it only that person? Is it just that one document that is having the issues? It could be something with a mail filter that is catching the files or another issue.

I would maybe try another document of the same type to see if that goes through. If not try another computer with the same document. If it doesn't work on either it is a server issue with email; however, if one of those works it is either a comp issue or a document issue and we can troubleshoot from there.

So are you saying you should be able to view the attachments when opening up an email that contains an InfoPath form?  This isn't something that wouldn't be allowed by InfoPath?

For instance, I also added an attachment control to the form - but this only works if you are submitting the form to a SharePoint Library.

I just want to be able to email an InfoPath form and pertaining documents using email (Outlook) as the workflow.

Thank you
Jeanne

Can anyone answer my question?  I desparately need an answer.

I'd like to be able to open an InfoPath form, complete it, and email it using the "Save & Send - Send Form"  feature - and then click on the paperclip to attach addition documents.

When the recipient opens the form, the attachments do not show in the "attachment" bar.

How do you email a form back and forth with attachments?  We are NOT using SharePoint for this process.

I appreciate any suggestions.
Thank you,
Jeanne

Hello, this is what I found out:

When "person one" opens the email - it opens as an Outlook file and they able to see the attachments.

When "person two" opens the email (on a different pc), it opens as an InfoPath file and they are not able to see the attachments.

When "person one" opens the email on person two's pc, it opens as an InfoPath file and they are not able to see the attachment.

So it is by machine and not log in.

Everyone but two people that have helped me test have not been able to see the attachments - the email opens as an Infopath file.

Now what?

Jeanne
