Disable visibility of Sensitivity Label on the Sharepoint Site

Hi,

we are working with some internal sensitivity labels in SharePoint. Everything works fine and I think to remember that I turned on the visibility of the label once at the beginning of our project. But now we want to remove the visibility on the page (but not the label itself) again, but I can't remember where I turned it on...

How can I turn of the visibility on all the sharepoint pages?

Thanks for any hints!

Hi Stefan,

Thank you for posting your query in our community.

Based on your description, you want to make the Sensitivity label next to the site name invisible, but not the label itself.

We are testing the Sensitivity label on our side, however, it will need some time to take effect. And I will post back if I have any update.

Appreciate your patience and understanding.

Best regards,

Jazlyn

Hi Stefan,

Here is the update:

Generally, after enabling sensitivity labels for SharePoint sites, admins and end users can select sensitivity labels when they create modern team sites and communication sites like below:

When the label is applied, and users browse to the site, they see the name of the label and applied policies like below. When the mouse is placed on the label, it only shows "javascript" in the lower left corner.

For your requirement to make these sensitivity labels invisible, I researched a lot and tested on my side, however, I couldn't find any settings or methods to change it. So I am afraid we can’t make these sensitivity labels invisible at this moment. I understand that it would be much convenient for you.

Given this situation, we recommend that you submit requirement for this feature in this SharePoint UserVoice and many members who has the same requirement with you will vote it in the future.

Appreciate your understanding.

Best regards,

Jazlyn

Hi Jazlyn,

thank you for checking. Okay, we need to live with it... Strange, I really thought I had somewhere a setting to activate this, but I'm obviusly wrong.
