Dark Theme OneNote Option Suddenly Missing

Hallo,
I was playing around with OneNote for windows 10 on my PC, and suddenly I came across the option for dark theme,
I was so excited that I wanted to change the Theme on my 2 Other Surface Pro 3. when I wanted to change on the last device the option was nowhere to be found, and it's still on the bright mode, and then suddenly I noticed the Theme on my PC turned back into the bright mode with no option to get back into the dark mode. what should I do? and How can I get the Darkmode back?

Note: the PC and one of the Surface has the same MS-Accounts, so I thought it has something to do with the Account Setting.

It seems that on the last device you do not have all updates installed. Please check this article https://support.office.com/en-us/article/what-s... the part I’m not seeing some of the updates mentioned here

Hallo,

thanks for replying, I'm not sure what do you mean by reading the article.
what I meant was this "Go easy on your eyes with Dark Mode" update.

the OneNote version for all Pc was the same Version 16001.11629.20028.0

do you have more Ideas on how to handle this?
thank you

This is the new normal chaos created by Microsoft's new distribution method for OneNote feature updates bypassing a professional version numbering scheme. It's intransparent and buggy too.

Dear ArsyatriaRasaki

In this case please try to do the following:
1. Open OneNote , go to Settings > Account and sign out from all of the accounts
2. Than go to Windows Settings > Home > Apps > Apps and features and find OneNote for Windows 10
3. Go to advance options and reset the OneNote app

After you will reset it, restart your device, check for system and apps updates and sign in with your account to OneNote. Check if you will have Dark Mode.

LA

hallo,

I got the dark theme now, but it was probably too complicated to do if you only wanted the dark theme.

the type cover of my surface pro 3 was not functioning after a windows update, so after looking through the helps I could get, I decided to completely uninstall the current windows and installing the older Version(I believe update 1511)and also installing all of the drivers and updates manually.

i fixed the type cover problem, and to my surprise it also fixed the dark theme problem.

My HP desktop got the dark theme for OneNote, however, my Surface Book 2 running the same version (16001.11727.20076.0)?  Nope!  The staggered/phased rollout I understand and appreciate, but this has been disappointing to say the least.
