Creating a Group Leave Calendar in SharePoint

I am trying to create a calendar to track vacation for my group in SharePoint. I attempted to add a calendar by clicking "Add and App" adding a Calendar app and then editing that calendar, however, none of the changes I make to this calendar will save. Any users I add will be removed the second I navigate into settings, and events I create will not save at all to the calendar. Is this feature no longer supported?

I also tried adding the "Group Calendar" web part to the main page of my site, and was able to successfully connect that to the group calendar in outlook, however, the default and only format available is a scrolling format which isn't best suited to a vacation-tracking calendar. Is there any way to reformat the web part into an actual calendar format which would be much more useful?

We’re sorry for the inconvenience caused by the problem.

 

From the description provided, we can’t encounter the behavior as you stated in your original post, here are the steps done at our end:

a. Open the SharePoint site> Site Content> Click on + New> App> Calendar> Selected the date and click on + Add to create a new item for that date> Click on Event created> Edit Event> Made some changes and Save.

b. Coming to adding of users to the calendars, if the calendar is inheriting the permissions from parent, all the users who can access the site will have permission to that calendar. If you have unique permissions to the calendar list, we need to grant permissions to add users to that list. We can add the users without any issue.

 

So, we would like to confirm the following scenarios for better understanding and moving further:

a. Does the problem happens with specific Calendar list in SharePoint site?

b. Can you try to create a new Calendar list and check the outcome?

c. Does the problem occurs with specific site or all the sites?

d. When you try to save did you encounter any error message?

e. Have you tried using different browser? If no, can you try using different browser or InPrivate browser to check the outcome?
