After McAfee automatically downloaded an update, my Excel program crashes when I try to save. This happens every time. I have run diagnostics, but found nothing. I was thinking of uninstalling and reinstalling Excel, but if it is a conflict with this
new McAfee download, that wouldn't help, I don't think.
Open Excel in application safe mode and verify the results.
To do that, close Excel. Go to Start, click on All Programs and Accessories and then Run. In the open box type in ‘Excel /safe’ and hit ok. (Note: There is a space
between Excel and /).
If Excel works in the safe mode, disable the Add-ins associated with Excel and check:
