Copyright on Excel Map Charts

Hi, can anyone give me any information on the copyright notice generated automatically with Excel Map charts?

What are the reuse permissions and guidelines? Who do I contact to get permission to reprint? Am I breaking copyright law by printing the maps?

I can't find any information anywhere that even begins to answer these questions.

I work for a government agency and would like to include some maps in my reports, but there is no guidance anywhere within Excel, on Microsoft.com, Being, Navteq or anywhere.

What is the point of the copyright notice in the first place?

Thanks for your help!

Hi fraktol,

When we create a Map Chart via Excel, we will meet some prompt info in the chart as below:

That means the copyright of that chart belongs to Microsoft. And you can refer to the following links to get more info about how to use those charts: Print Rights, Microsoft® Bing™ Maps Platform APIs' Terms Of Use. Please have a check. If you still need any help, you can click this link to contact Microsoft.

Regards,

Neo
