Converting PPT to MP4 with audio

Hi,

I created a PPT with on each slide audio inserted from my PC.

Each audio file is created with a voice over (text to speech) generator.

When I convert the PPT to a MP4 video file audio files are overlapping while the slides are proceeding: example on slide 5 I hear the audio's from slide 1, 2, 3, 4 and 5 (and so on).

I searched for hours to find a solution. How can I resolve that problem?

Thanks a lot for advice.

Best regards,

Chris

Answer

Hi Chris Mees,

First, my pleasure to assist you.

As per your description, please don’t worry, we can work together to narrow down and resolve the situation.

Based on my test result, when audio is embedded in a slide, and it seems works fine from my side when I play PowerPoint MP4 file.

May I know are you insert multiple audio files in one slide from your pc?

Have you tried to distributed audio files in timeline and they don't overlap on each other?

Could you please try go to animation pane to stop playing the audio after x slides. For example please go to the animation pane Double click the first sound entry and in Effects set "Stop playing" to after x slides

You may also trim the first audio so that it would stop playing before you reach the slide with the second audio.

Also, you may add 2 extra animations. For example, Set the animation to “start after previous” and set the other animation to “start with previous” to see the result.

As you mentioned you inserted audio into your PowerPoint file created via voice over (text to speech) generator. If you don’t mind (my humble request, please don’t mind) could you please try to use a recorded audio made by Recording > Audio > Record sound. And then save your audio file as a media via right-click on audio file and “save Media as” and then Insert > Audio > Audio on my PC to check if there is any difference.

In the meantime, to confirm whether this is a bug in a specific version, please provide us the version information. To check version: Open PowerPoint>File>Account>Product Information and capture a full screenshot and share here (Please mask your private message for protecting your private message) and we will be tested on that version and verify the result with you.

I appreciate your understanding and stay safe!!

Best regards
