Hi Steve,
I have over 17,000 Notes in a large number of Notebooks, both personal and business (I am an Evernote Business user).
It is obviously very important that when this information is transferred it goes in the right place as well! With this in mind I have only moved over a few small Notebooks and so far it has worked very well and very easily.
The key problem I see is if you use tags. A single tag is not so much a problem as it creates a sub notebook for each set of tags. But if you have multiple tags on the same Note, it will duplicate them into a sub Notebook called the same as the tag. For
example if you have tags called 'Today' and Tomorrow'. Your Notes will be duplicated into two sub Notebookes in OneNote called 'Today' and 'Tomorrow'.
I am going to look further into how this works and how to tag in OneNote when I get the time.
I suggest you do the same and just move over a few Notebooks and play around with it.
But, if you want to delete Notebooks, I read that it can only be done by going to the folder on your computer. No big deal, but worth remembering.
I am also hoping to go through a training course on OneNote in the next few days.
In the meantime, I hope that Evernote will get their act together. As I am an Evangelist for them, you will appreciate it is a big step if I move back to OneNote! But so far, by changing the way I work, I think I can make OneNote work for me and give me
some other useful features.
Regards
Chris
