Converting Evernote to Onenote 365

Can anyone tell me how I can convert my Evermore premium notebooks, and notes to OneNote 365? I want to keep all of my info on Office now but have thousands of notes in Evermore. The one program I found evernote2onenote is not working and I have not seen anyone it worked for.

I would love to get a answer on this my notes are very important to my practice.

Thanks!

Hi Marcus,

That was the program I was thinking of but it seems through other forums it is not working anymore and maybe never worked with Office 365. Do you know if this is true? Do you know if it works. I dont want to install it if it is outdated and not working.

Thanks for your help,

Steve

Not sure my friend.

I would give it a go. It cannot harm your information as you can always start again!

Will give it a go myself when I get the time.

Just tried it and it works very well.

It converts one Notebook at a time.

Trying to find out how to re sort Notes by title.

That's really great how does it import them will it keep the notes in the proper note book? Or will it just scramble everything? That is important for mke, how did that work for you?

Thanks so much for your help.

Hi Steve,

I have over 17,000 Notes in a large number of Notebooks, both personal and business (I am an Evernote Business user).

It is obviously very important that when this information is transferred it goes in the right place as well! With this in mind I have only moved over a few small Notebooks and so far it has worked very well and very easily.

The key problem I see is if you use tags. A single tag is not so much a problem as it creates a sub notebook for each set of tags. But if you have multiple tags on the same Note, it will duplicate them into a sub Notebook called the same as the tag. For example if you have tags called 'Today' and Tomorrow'. Your Notes will be duplicated into two sub Notebookes in OneNote called 'Today' and 'Tomorrow'.

I am going to look further into how this works and how to tag in OneNote when I get the time.

I suggest you do the same and just move over a few Notebooks and play around with it.

But, if you want to delete Notebooks, I read that it can only be done by going to the folder on your computer. No big deal, but worth remembering.

I am also hoping to go through a training course on OneNote in the next few days.

In the meantime, I hope that Evernote will get their act together. As I am an Evangelist for them, you will appreciate it is a big step if I move back to OneNote! But so far, by changing the way I work, I think I can make OneNote work for me and give me some other useful features.

Regards

Chris

Among Evernote-to-OneNote conversion tools you may also want to consider OneNote Batch. It's available from http://www.onenotegem.com/onenote-batch.html, where you'll also find screenshots and other information.

OneNote Batch is actively developed and maintained by James Linton, the same developer who also creates the OneNote Gem add-ins for OneNote.
