Constantly logged off: Did you break the Office account/login when you changed it?

Hi everyone,

I was wondering what happened to the office/onedrive/windows login.

For about 2 weeks now I have been frequently getting logged out of Office / Onedrive / MS Account. It all starts with the yellow warning in any office application.

to then after a few days requiring a re-login via the system account in Onedrive / Office (hard to say what as everything is now shared in one MS account that links all applications).

It always says

After clicking "Continue" it will either

1. automatically log you in with a bit of a back and forth with the usual OneDrive login screen

2. asks for the password again to log in with the default OneDrive login screen but a somewhat weird URL being displayed (unfortunately I don't have a screenshot of it, but googled it and it seems somewhat related to MS)

The reason I put this as a "general" problem is because the exact same thing happens on my work device and my girlfriend's device. Totally different accounts and devices.

So unless they have all been hacked, it seems to be more of a Microsoft issue. Does anyone know about this? Couldn't really google anything as there's so much about login issues with Microsoft products.

Dear SeLo1,

Welcome to Microsoft Community.

We understand that you need to perform repeated logins when logging into Office and OneDrive.

You have indicated that you have been logging out a lot recently because your Office program account is displaying a yellow warning that needs to be explained to you:

This may be due to the fact that you need to complete your account's personal information or add appropriate security verification information, so you are prompted to sign in again.

You can log in to your Microsoft Dashboard: Microsoft account | Sign In or Create Your Account Today – Microsoft After logging in, click on “Your Information” and “Security”, and then click on “Your Information” and “Security”. Refine or change your Microsoft account name in “Your Information” and add more security options to your account in “Security” - “Advanced Security Options”.

After completing your account successfully, you can log in to OneNote with your account again to see if you can log in successfully and if the corresponding account prompts are displayed.

Seeing that you indicated that you have been logging back into your account through different devices and accounts but they all show that it requires you to automatically log back and forth, you are also concerned that this is due to an issue with Microsoft:

We apologize, we have recently received feedback from other community submissions about this issue as well, and we believe this is a temporary issue that may be caused by validation issues with OneDrive's data migration and server updates.

We have noted this issue and have provided feedback through internal channels, and the developers have added the issue to their list of issues and have begun to urgently fix the issue.

In the meantime, we've seen that some users have resolved the issue by changing their network and adding an alias to their account, so while you wait for the fix, you can also try the More Love Network confirmation to see if it works.

If it doesn't work, you may need to wait for the appropriate fixes, we will also help you to follow the process of the appropriate fixes, if there is any update, we will reply you in time.

Meanwhile, in order to help the development department to pay more attention to this issue, we also suggest that you can shave your teeth through our specialized feedback platform Welcome to the Word group! (microsoft.com) (English only) to post your questions and ideas, which will help the relevant team to further investigate this issue based on your feedback.

Hope it helps.  If any update, welcome to share with us.

Thanks for your patience and understanding.

Best Regards,
