Character spacing in Word.

I want to decrease the spacing between characters in my Word documents to offset the effects of justified text. There used to be an advanced arrow in the font box, but that's missing. What can I do.

Hi TrampShining1942

Select the text, then go to Format - Font

On the resulting dialog, do you have a Spacing and/or Kerning option on the resulting dialog?

You can make this a part of a style. Since it is for justified text (a paragraph attribute) I would have a paragraph style that had both the character spacing and the justification as a part of the style's definition.
