Changing the size of comment bubbles in modern comments (Word for Windows)

Hi,

I am working with modern comments in Word and the size of the comment bubbles is too large - I'd like to reduce both the comment bubble and text size in the comment bubble. I can't find the settings to do this - can anyone let me know how to do this?

Thanks,

Jodie

You can't modify the display you see in Print Layout view.

However, you can modify the way comments are shown in a printout and those settings will apply when you save your Word document as a PDF as well. To see how the comments will print and how they will convert to PDF, use the print preview at File > Print.

In other words, you can still modify the "Preferred width" for the balloons (in the Advanced Track Changes Options dialog box).

In a similar way, you can still modify the Balloon Text and Comment Text styles, and the new settings will be reflected in a printout (or PDF).

Here is an example of a preview when I have modified the styles:

Hi Jodie,

Unfortunately, the comment font size or the comment bubbles size is fixed in Word, which can't be modified.

Sorry about the inconvenience caused by this.

Given the current scenario, we would suggest you submit a feedback in the Word app. This will be a great help for improving our product.

How do I give feedback on Microsoft Office?
