Changing the installation directory for Office

Is there any way to do this? Everything I read everywhere else says it's not. But I can't believe, with the increasing number of SSDs becoming standard for startup drives, that Microsoft would be so incredibly short-sighted. Especially with all the other bits of bloatware that come pre-installed and uninstallable with Windows 10.

If this isn't possible, I'll have to cancel my subscription. I simply have no space for it.

Hi,

I am a Microsoft Community expert here to help you. I'm sorry to hear that you're having difficulties.

Is it an Office 365 version, if so:

You cannot customize the installation location for Click-to-Run for Office 365 products. Click-to-Run can only be deployed to the system drive which is typically drive C.

On a different version:

Choose programs to install
Add/Remove Office Tools

Reinstall (you might need the keys for this)

Please let me know I'm happy to try to solve your problem.

Hello

A pleasure to help you.

I understand your concern about why you have little space on your computer. This procedure is possible but is not recommended since you may experience problems with some Microsoft programs or software or system updates.

Can you tell me what kind of OS has 32 / 64bit installed?

Let me know.

Greetings Dayamis.

To change the location of the application installation, perform the following process:

Use the key combination, Windows + i.
When you open the settings, select the "System" option.
On the left side of the System menu, enter the "Storage" option.
While in Storage, locate the section "Storage locations", there you will find the control of the location of the applications, called "New applications will be saved". When you open this menu you will find the different locations of the system.

If this isn't possible, I'll have to cancel my subscription. I simply have no space for it.

You have indicated some 9 times that none of the responses resolved your question/issue without providing any response as to what was tried or any other information making it impossible for anyone to continue to provide any on-going replies.

In any case, if this is only in reference to the click-to-run subscription, there is no option to change the install location.
