Change PivotChart date axis format

I'm using Office 365 Version 1709.

When I create a Pivot Chart with a single Date-value Category (x) axis, any changes I make to the axis label format are not reflected on the chart.  For example, I would like it to only display date labels in "MMM-DD" format, and only every three months.  However, even though I have the following settings on the Axis panel:

We wanted to get the working version to see which version started seeing a change in this behavior (I.e.: after an update). Knowing your exact Excel version will help us narrow down the search; this may help the related team pinpoint the cause.

We will report this behavior to the related team. We are seeing this behavior on all channel's latest version, so if you are not getting this behavior, we appreciate it if you can provide your Excel version.
