Can't see Powerpoint Laser Pointer

I am trying to watch pre-recorded powerpoints, and while the audio works fine, the laser pointer that my instructor included in the recording does not show up on my presentation.

None of my classmates are having this problem. I am watching it in full screen, and my powerpoint version is 16.29.

I am running powerpoint on macOS Mojave 10.14.6. Any ideas as to how to fix this would be much appreciated!

Download a copy of the current version of AutoUpdate from this link, install and then run AutoUpdate to bring your installation to current update level, then restart your Mac. I didn't know I was behind in updates, thanks. I downloaded the updates and restarted my Mac, and the pointer is still not appearing.

Hi Hannah0865,

The latest version of PowerPoint for mac is 16.35 now, does the issue still perisist?

Please create a new presentation and reord presentation, then check if the pointer will disappera in watch mode.

If the issue happen in all presentation, I suggerst you only reinstall PowerPoint from HERE.

Try opening the presentation in the free on-line version of PowerPoint at OneDrive.com. Do the pointers display?

I opened a couple of the presentation in Onedrive.com and the pointers do not display there either.

Hi All,

Also having a similar issue with Mac, was this resolved. Have done all recent updates:

MacOS 10.15.4

PowerPoint 16.36

Is it just a Mac thing?
