Cannot Login Yammer mobile app via iOS in Iphone SE

Hi everyone, 

I can access Yammer via browser just fine. But cannot login via mobile app in my Iphone. I used to be able to access via app, on the same phone but after someone added me to a new group, my app crashed. Now when i try to login, it is not letting me: 

After i type in my email and password, the app takes me to a "Welcome to Yammer" page and then says "Here's an account you can use- tap to sign in."

Then below is written: Office 365 Account and below that my name. 

But when i click on my name, it briefly opens my yammer page [for a split second] but then comes back to the same welcoming page. Has this happened to anyone? I would appreciate if someone shares a fix. Thanks

Please clear all APP cache, Data / and reinstall the latest version of Yammer APP and check.

Also please check if you are able to login to Yammer app on other device to isolate if the issue is device specific of profile specific.

If the issue, persists we will need tenant / Network details to troubleshoot on this issue which can't be shared on this public platform.  I would suggest you to create a service request with Yammer support team via Office 365 admin centre > Support > create service request.

 

Our support team will contact you and assist further on this issue.

Hi Sreejith

As you suggested, I have used another Iphone to login to my Yammer account and it worked. Looks like it is an issue with my Iphone. I have deleted Yammer and reinstalled it, but the login problem still persists. 

How do i clear all APP cache, Data on Iphone. Phone only shows me option to clear cache in Safari and that's all. Also is there a way to delete saved Office 365 login details from Yammer app in iOS?  Thanks once again for your time.

Follow these steps to clear the cache / data of APP

  1. Tap Settings > General > iPhone Storage. (On an iPad the last option will be labelled iPad Storage.)
  2. At the bottom of the screen you'll see your apps,
  3. Take a look at the entry of the app > delete and reinstalling the app.
  4. Tap Delete App, confirm, then head to the App Store and re-download it. This will be a clean install without all the data and documents.

Hi Sreejith,

i followed the steps and deleted and reinstalled Yammer. When i relaunched Yammer, i could still see the list of previous logings. New loging attemps also did not work. I still cannot access Yammer. I hope you have more advice?

Since the App works successfully on other device, the issue doesn't seems to be with cloud Application -Yammer.

It seems to be a device specific issue, which is out of support boundary for Yammer support.

If possible try to reset your Mobile to factory default settings and test if this issue is resolved.

Unfortunately, i cannot reset phone to factory settings. There is a gogoe authenticotor on the phone with 20 various accounts attached to it. You know how messey authenticator gets when resseting the phone. 

Can you please advice how else i can get rid of already saved login details from Yammer? This was i can login again with fresh details.

Hi 

How do i clear all the saved Office 365 Accounts from Yammer Iphone app [see below screenshot]? There are around 30 of these saved logins. Every time i try to login, the app comes back to the below page with list of Office 365 accounts. A few times I also received an error message: "you have been logged out from another location". 

  • I even deleted my Yammer account and recreated it and still did not help.
  • I deleted the app a few times but did not help.
  • The app works on other mobile devices
  • also I can login via desktop browser without an issue

But i need to get this Yammer account work in this specific Iphone device. Please help. Unfortunately resetting Iphone to factory setting is not an option.

I had to ensure the use Cellular Data connection was turned on in the Yammer iOS app settings or it would only work on WiFi.
