Hello I have a Microsoft 365 home subscription. I cannot locate or download microsoft access. When I type access into my start menu search bar I see a link to microsoft access download page. If i click download/purchase it tells me to buy a 365 subscription, which I already own. If I click the link titled "already have a microsoft 365 account." It takes me to my microsoft 365 account but access is unavailable or invisible inside the platform. It's like a loop that never yields any useful or productive results. I need microsoft access for a college course, I have no idea how to download it because It is unavailable within the microsoft 365 menu, or via the microsoft store, or via the microsoft access download page.

Does the subscription you have include Access (not all do). See this page. https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/microsoft-365/buy/microsoft-365
Scroll down to see all included apps.
Also, Access runs only on Windows. You didn't mention whether you have a Windows PC or a Mac.

I'm in the same situation. I have Microsoft 365 Personal through my University and according to the list, Access should be included but I can't find it anywhere online or on my desktop version. I'm running windows.
Assuming we do have access to Access, can someone tell us how to get out of the loop described by the OG post?
Thank you!!

Have you looked at the links which George posted in this thread? Note that Access cannot be run on a Mac unless you use a Windows emulator such as Parallels. Also, MS 365 Education does not include Access.
PS: I should have made clear that Parallels does not include Windows itself; it creates a virtual desktop within which Windows can be installed.

Actually, that's not obvious at all.
Did you read all of the previous posts in this discussion? Did you follow the links offered in the previous posts?
Most, but not all versions of M365 include Access. Your first step is to verify whether the version you have includes Access, or not.
Access runs only on a Windows computer. Do you have a Windows computer or an Apple computer? If you have a Mac, not a Windows computer, you'll have to figure out an alternative, such as a Windows emulator program for your Mac.
