Cannot delete multiple files/folders in SharePoint Online

Hi, Greetings for the day!

When our client is trying to delete multiple files (in single operation) from SharePoint Online site, its not working. If we delete single file, its working fine. Multi file deletion is not working from client network. It throws error "X items weren’t deleted from Documents". If we access SharePoint Online site from public internet, multi file deletion is working fine in Modern site experience.

In Classic site experience mode, we don’t see this issue. We were able to delete multiple files in single operation. If anyone has experienced this issue in the past, please let us know details on the resolution.

Thanks

Hi Srini,

Sorry for the trouble caused at your end.

As per your description, we would like to summarize the problem encountering at client end:

b. Using the client network can’t delete the multiple files.

c. Can delete successfully in Classic experience at the client side, but the problem happens only in Modern experience.

d. Can delete normally using a public network.
