Can You Still Print Rolodex Cards in Word?

Microsoft Word once supported Avery's small Rolodex cards but apparently no longer does. The 5385 Avery Template in Word no longer works under Office 365 (I learned after printing several sheets that never matched up); the advice online was to use the "A4/A5" Avery Templates, not the "Letter" versions. There is no 5385 Template in the A4/A5 category in Word. So I moved to the Avery Website, and downloaded their Word 5385 Template. It downloaded, but came with warnings that it was designed for older versions of Word and probably wouldn't work with newer versions. It didn't!

I know Rolodex is pretty much a dinosaur, but my wife still depends on it. What are the options (short of custom designing a template...)

Answer

The answer is: yes you can. Use the Letter category Avery 5385 labels, but modify the top border to equal 1.5". Then it works.

I use Microsoft Office 365 and discovered today that my Windows 7 format didn't transfer over. I went to Avery Templates and downloaded the 5385 Rolodex template, used that and printed on the Avery small Rolodex Cards 5385. It worked perfectly without needing any formatting at all. It does save as an older version and that is perfectly fine. As long as it is usable.
