Calendar syncing between outlook desktop app and iphone

Hello, hoping someone may be able to assist so thank you in advance. The scenario is this:

- I have Microsoft 365 Home Edition

- I have a desktop, a surface pro and an iphone

- I have an email that is hosted by hostgator at my own domain (IMAP).

I would like to be able to see calendar appointments that I make in my desktop outlook calendar on my iphone. And I would like to be able to book appointments on my iphone with my personalised domain and have them reflected back in the outlook desktop calendar.

I had purchased Akruto sync as a solution however it is only 1 way - from the outlook desktop app to my iphone. So if I am out and about and need to send someone a calendar invite or want to accept an invite that is in my email, it only shows on the phone and doesnt sync back with the computer.

I wondered if purchasing a Google apps account and linking my email with this it would be solved but I dont think so? Is it that I need to purchase an Exchange account and it will magically work? I had also read some google articles on redirecting name servers and the like and it will forward my IMAP email to a 365 email (which I dont know how to find out if I have & what it is).

Thanks in advance

Running Windows 10 and a iPhone Plus on the latest IOS software.

If you own your own domain and have your own IMAP mail account, in that domain name, then that same provider may provide an exchange mail account if you pay for it

365 Business has exchange built in, in so much as you can use a mynameATonmicrosoftDotcom mail account (365 Home/Personal does not)

HostGator has a Gsuite option, since I do not use this I'm unsure whether this is an exchange mail account (Gmail itself is not)

Thank you for your speedy reply - so how do i get an exchange account for my personalised email at my own domain? Thank you in advance

if you own your own domain, you could move it to office 365 hosting. It's as low as $4US/month per mailbox for a 50 GB mailbox only, onedrive and other services start at $5US per month.
