Answer

Hi Paul,

Do you want to delete stored credentials in the browser or for the Microsoft Office desktop apps?

If you wish to remove the stored credentials in the browser, please follow the steps below:

  1. In Microsoft Edge, go to More actions Three-dot More icon > Settings.
  2. Select Password & autofill.
  3. Under Passwords, select Manage Passwords, delete the password you no longer need.

To remove cached credentials for Microsoft Office desktop application, follow steps below:

  1. Sign out from Office application and close all the Office applications opened on your system. To sign out, open any Office application, let’s say Word, click File>Account>Sign out and the quit all Office apps.
  2. Open Control Panel>User Account>Credentials Manager>Windows Credentials>Delete all MicrosoftOffice16 and MicrosoftOffice15 credentials.

After deleting the cached password, open Word app and click File>Account>Sign in and enter your correct Office 365 log in credentials.

Thanks,

Neha
