Bing Maps For Office 365 Excel 2016

We use Office 365 in our corporate environment. We have users that cannot use Bing Maps within Excel 2016 on their desktop workstation.

So far, I have added Bing Maps as a "managed add-in". When the users open Excel and click Insert > Bing Maps (icon) just a white box appears with some verbiage. If the same user selects "MY Add-ons" right next to the Bing Maps icon, they can see Bing Maps and select it and it does in fact insert a map into an Excel cell. I am wondering what the proper way is to allow every user the use of Bing Maps within Excel using Office 365 (2016) on a x64 Windows 10 machine. Thanks!

Hi Dubstir,

Both methods are the right way to insert Bing Maps in Excel, but it should work when the users click Bing Maps under Insert tab, it looks that the users encountered a problem. To troubleshoot it, I would like to confirm some information.

1. Is there any error message in the white box? If yes, would you please share the screenshot of it?

2. You can try adding Bing Maps to a new tab to see if the problem persists. Go to File > Options > Customize Ribbon, create a new tab in the right list, then find Bing Map in left list and add to the newly created tab.

Regards,

Tisky
