Attachments - Can a file be attached to a Word Document?

I just got a request from a VP to attach a file to a WORD document. The WORD doc is minutes and the attachment is the timeline related to the project.

I think the best option is to either insert a screen capture to be available within the WORD doc.

You can insert any file into a document and display it as an icon. Double-clicling the icon will launch the file in its own application.

    To do so:

Activate the Insert tab of the ribbon.

Click Object in the Text group.

Select the Create from File tab.

    Click Browse...

Select the file, then click Insert.

Tick the check box "Display as icon".

If you want to send the document to others, do not tick the check box "Link to file".

    Click OK.
