8x Verizon 4G Sim card failure

I'm on Verizon with the HTC 8X.  For some reason at least once a day, I seem to get an error where the phone is unable to read my 4G SIM card. I then have to reboot and then the phone is able to read the SIM card again.  This seems to happen more frequently if I keep the phone in my pocket, but I've also seen the failure occur while just holding the phone in front of me.  Is there any way to fix this issue? Has anyone else seen this?
