After 8.0 GDR2 on Verizon HTC 8X intermittent "can't send" error with texts

After getting the GDR2 update for the Verizon HTC 8X I have an intermittent issue where I get "Can't Send" errors when sending text messages even though I have full bars.  Restarting the phone or turning airplane mode on and off usually fixes it.

Has anyone else been having this problem?  Is it a known issue?

I suggest to contacting Verison since SMS settings are mostly dependent on them. Ask for a different  SIM card to test this issue in store.

 

If  you will experience the same issue with different SIM card and Verison will have no solution then it is probably software issue. In this case you will need to return phone to factory settings:
