WP8 Connector for OSX Crashing on launch.

Any good ideas why for me this crashes upon launching ? (and how to fix)

I'm running 10.8.2. Did first update of old WP Phone Connector (installed thru App Store), the uninstalled everything (including support files in user/Library/App support), re-installed. And still crashes.

Crash reporter gives this kind of stuff:

Would like very much to get this working …

Will fix the crash in a future update, fortunately there's a workaround.

If you encounter this, try the following:
  1. look at your iTunes preferences - ~/Library/Preferences/com.apple.iTunes.plist.
  2. If you see a key" alis:1:iTunes Library Location" with no data (shows as <> in Xcode), delete that key, and the crash will disappear.
Editing the plist requires xcode or some other binary plist editor. If you don't have that, you can email your plist to wpc7feed <at> microsoft <dot> com, and we'll fix it for you.
